Running a 24-hour, 365-days a year emergency service organization is a daunting task, but our group of dedicated volunteers has continued the tradition of serving our community for 75 years! We currently have 15 active members and approximately 85 social members. Our Company is always looking for new volunteers who love serving their neighbors and giving back to their community. Volunteer opportunities include Active Memberships (our firefighters and fire police who respond to emergency incidents), Junior Firefighters, Social Memberships (those who help the Company by organizing and leading fundraising and other events) and general volunteers.
I’d Like to help, but have no experience. What can I do?
Great question! If you can spare even a few hours of your time, your efforts would make a world of difference. We are always looking for people to help with banquets and at our Ham & Dandelion Dinner (serving food to tables, washing dishes, etc.) or to help at the carnival (working a game or food stand for a few hours). Do you like to bake? Volunteering for our annual Mince Pie sale may be right up your alley! If you would like to get more involved, consider a Social Membership.
