64 Box: Structure Fire. Full company response with 10 members. The Hickory Corners and Community Fire Company was dispatched just after 10:30AM on September 29, 2024 to 2123 Mountain Road for a fully involved structure fire. Thankfully the structure was not occupied at the time, and no injuries were reported. The call went to a 2nd alarm, and nearly 70 fire fighters fought the blaze, which was complicated by the 750′ steep driveway which only allowed from our Engine 64 to be placed near the scene. We thank our mutual aid partners from Lower Mahanoy, Herndon, Pillow, Berrysburg, Klingerstown, Gratz, Elizabethville, Millersburg and Wiconisco for their assistance at the scene.
